Lead is Dangerous

EPA’s Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP Rule) requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and pre-schools built before 1978 have their firm certified by EPA (or an EPA authorized state), use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers and follow lead-safe work practices.

J E Evans Construction Inc. is a Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Contracting firm. Very few firms in our area have this accreditation from both the State of North Carolina and the Federal Environmental Protection Agency. We implore you, no matter what firm you employ, to insist on these credentials. Lead in the environment, especially in the home, presents serious risks to those who reside there. And the danger is preventable. Protect your family, protect your neighbors. Use only qualified contractors when there is lead present.

For more information about the dangers of lead, please visit the Environmental Protection Agency’s website.
